Users who need to access a shared mailbox
Scenario/Use case:
This article provides instructions on how to access a shared mailbox using Outlook.
Instructions:
- On the menu, select "File".
- Select "Account Settings" and then "Account Settings" again.
- Click "Change…"
- Click "More Settings".
- In the Microsoft Exchange window, click the "Advanced" tab and then click on "Add…".
- Enter the email address of the shared email and then click "OK".
- Click "OK".
- Click "Next".
- Click "Done".
- Click "Closed".
- Click "Tools" from the menu and then "Accounts".
- In the "Accounts" window, make sure your account is selected on the left and click "Advanced".
- In the next window, select "Delegates" and then in the lower section marked "Open these additional mailboxes", click the PLUS button.
- Start entering the email address of the shared mailbox, select it, and then click "Add".
- In the next window, click "OK".
- You can now close the "Accounts" window.
- Navigate your web browser to https://email.fnal.gov.
- Login with your Services account, password, and then click "Sign On".
NOTE: If you are offsite and not connected to Fermilab's VPN, you may be prompted to provide an RSA passcode as part of the "Two-Factor Authentication" requirement. Enter your passcode and click "OK". - In the upper right corner of Outlook Webmail window, click on your user icon.
- Click on "Open another mailbox".
- Enter the email address of the shared email and then click "Open".
