Intended for: Service providers who wish to change their default view when accessing ServiceNow.
Scenario/Use case:
User wishes to change their preferred default view when they access ServiceNow.
- For your convenience, we have set the preferred view to Classic View for service providers (to work tickets, view reports, etc.) and Portal View (end users interface) for everyone else.
- Both http://fermi.servicenowservices.com and links within email will take you to your preferred view. You can switch between Classic View and Portal View at any time once you are logged in by following the instructions at KB0012699
- The instructions below explain how to set a preference for which view is used by default.
Instructions:
To change your preferred view:
1. In the Service Desk web portal, click on your name in the upper right, and click My Profile:
Your current preferred view will be displayed (Most likely, your preferred view will be set to "Classic"):
2. Click on the name of the view (either "Classic" or "Portal"). A dropdown list will appear:
3. Select your preferred view from the two options.
4. Click Save. Your change should take effect immediately.
