Indico - How to enable your event registration for the public


Intended for:

Meeting organizers (the person who submitted the event in the Event Approval System (EAS)).



Scenario/Use case:

The meeting organizer is using Indico for event registration and needs to ensure the event has the correct category and permissions to enable event participants to register.



Instructions:

If the meeting organizer (the person who submits the EAS event request form) selects the “Create a site for me” option in EAS, an Indico registration page is created. However, the event is uncategorized and set to “private” by default. The meeting organizer must take steps to enable event participants to register:

In all other cases, the meeting organizer will need to contact the category manager to make the event public.


How to determine the category manager

From the Indico homepage, click on a category or subcategory:

The list of category managers will display on the right:
