Intended for: CILogon personal certificate users
Scenario/Use case:
This article provides instructions on how to remove your old CILogon personal certificate from your browser.
Instructions:
For Windows users:
- Internet Explorer
- Click on gear icon and select Internet Options
- Click on Content
- Click on Certificates.
- Select certificate issued to UID:yourusername. You can tell which one is old by expiration date.
- Click Remove.
- Click Yes.
- Click Close
- Firefox
- Select Options
- Click Advanced on the left navigation bar, and then select the Certificates
- Click View Certificates.
- Select Your Certificates
- Select certificate issued to UID:yourusername. You can tell which one is old by expiration date.
- Click Delete.
For Mac users:
- Safari
- Go to launch pad and select Keychain Access.
- Under Keychains select login.
- Under Category select My Certificates.
- Select certificate issued to UID:yourusername. You can tell which one is old by expiration date.
- Press Delete button
- Click Delete.
- Firefox
- Open Firefox preferences on the Firefox menu bar.
- Click Advancedon the left navigation bar and then select the Certificates
- Click View Certificates.
- Select the Your Certificates
- Select certificate issued to UID:yourusername. You can tell which one is old by expiration date.
- Click Delete.
