Q: What is “Self Service”?
A: The Windows service called "Self Service" allows you to use “Software Center”, an application already installed on your computer, to install some pre-approved software at your discretion.

 


Q: Who can use “Self Service”?
A: If you use a Fermilab-owned centrally managed Windows computer, you can use this service. However, we can’t install this application on your personal computers.


Q: What if I don’t have “Software Center” on my Fermilab-owned Windows computer?
A: Please submit a Service Desk ticket so we can install it for you.


Q: How do I use “Self Service”?
A: Please read the user guide.


Q: What software can I install by using “Self Service”?
