How to share your screen in a Zoom meeting

 

Intended for:

Users of the Zoom video/web conferencing service.

 


Scenario/Use case:

This article provides instructions on how to share your screen in a Zoom meeting.

1. Start or join a Zoom meeting.

    Note: Host of the meeting may need to allow participants to share screen. Host must click the carrot (arrow) to allow participants to share, as seen below.



2. Click on Share Screen on the meeting toolbar.

3. Select the program or desktop you wish to share.

 

When sharing a video that includes audio:

 

1. Select Share sound in the bottom-left corner of the share selection window. 

 

Optional: Select the down arrow just to the right of the Share sound option to view audio options and switch between Mono and Stereo (High-fidelity) audio options.

               Note: If you are in a Zoom Room, do not join computer audio or make sure your speaker and microphone are muted. Not doing so will cause loop back.

                         If you are not in a Zoom Room and wish to hear the audio you are sharing, please make sure your speaker is not muted.

 

2. Click Share in the bottom-right corner to begin sharing your screen with your device's audio included.

 

 

Mac users- you may receive a pop-up window stating that Zoom would like to share your computer audio and that you need to provide administrator credentials to allow Zoom to do so. Please proceed with this.
