VoIP Voicemail Settings
Intended for:
VoIP users.
Scenario/Use case:
- Login to Voicemail from your phone.
- Login to Voicemail from another phone.
- Change Recorded Name.
- Change Recorded Greeting.
- Change PIN.
- Change to an Alternate Greeting.
- New message indicators.
- Listen to Messages.
Instructions:
Login to Voicemail from your phone
- Press the Messages button on the phone or dial x6250
- When prompted, enter your PIN followed by the pound # key
- If this is the first time dialing in, follow the prompts to update your personal name recording, greeting and PIN.
Login to Voicemail from another phone
- Dial x6250 if onsite or 630-840-6250 if offsite
- When connected and you hear the greeting, press the star * key
- If prompted, enter your ID (your 4-digit extension number) followed by the pound # key
- When prompted, enter your PIN followed by the pound # key
- If this is the first time dialing in, follow the prompts to update your personal name recording, greeting and PIN
Change Recorded Name
- Login
- Press 4 for setup options
- Press 3 for Preferences
- Press 2 for Recorded Name
Change Recorded Greeting
- Login
- Press 4 for Setup Options
- Press 1 for Greeting
Change PIN
- Login
- Press 4 for Setup Options
- Press 3 for Preferences
- Press 1 for PIN
Change to an Alternate Greeting
- Login
- Press 4 for Setup Options
- Press 1 for Greeting
- Press 2 to turn on your Alternate Greeting
New message indicators
- A solid red light on your handset
- A stutter dial tone (if available)
- The voicemail icon and number display on the screen along with one idle session button
Listen to Messages
- Press Messages and follow the voice prompts. To check messages for a specific line, press the line button first.
