Intended for: DocDB users
In July of 2018, the DocDB software will be upgraded based on the DocDB code used at CERN. This article describes the new DocDB features after this upgrade.
After the DocDB upgrade, users will be able to:
- Pick authors by typing characters from the author's name and selecting from the list of authors matched. The matched authors list will show authors that have the typed characters anywhere in the first or last name. Submitters can be selected in the same manner.
- View topics hierarchically as well as expand and collapse them (using "+" and "-"). The same topic list is shown below, collapsed and expanded.
- Change the order of document search results by clicking search column headings. Click once on any column heading (doc-#, Last Updated, ...) to sort documents using that heading in ascending order. Click a second time to sort in descending order. The following search is sorted in descending order based on the time the documents were last updated.
- Receive notification emails that include multiple URLs for the same document so they can choose the authentication method they prefer (certificate or password). Click on the preferred link to the document. An example is shown below.
Notifications for signatures will also include multiple URLs for the same document. For these emails, users will need to select the URL for the authentication method they use for signing documents.
