Intended for: Users who want to enroll their accounts in the Password Manager Tool

Scenario/Use case:

This article provides instructions on how to enroll the following accounts in the Password Manager Tool. By enrolling your accounts, you can reset your password or unlock your account without calling the Service Desk.

You must enroll each account separately.

Instructions:

1. Log in to the Password Manager Tool at https://passwordreset.fnal.gov/ with the account you want to enroll.

For example, if you want to enroll your SERVICES account, you should enter your user name, SERVICES account password and select "SERVICES" from the drop-down list. Then click "Login".

2. After you log in, if you have not enrolled this account, you will get this pop-up message:

Click the "Click Here" button to continue with enrollment.

3. Now select the verification method (Security Questions or Email Verification).

Note: The "Email Verification" option is only available for SERVICES and FERMITEST accounts.

4. Selecting the "Security Questions" option will bring you to the questions page. Pick a question from the drop-down list and create two more yourself. Then click the "Next" button.

5. If you've selected the "Email Verification" option, you will see the email setup page. Enter your email address and click the "Send Code" button.

6. Go to your email and copy the verification code. Paste it in the tool.

7. After clicking the "Next" button, you will see a notification that indicates that your enrollment is successful.

Here you can also set up your backup verification method (security questions or email verification) as needed.

Note: If you cannot enroll your accounts using this tool, please call the Service Desk at (630) 840-2345 or email servicedesk@fnal.gov for assistance.
